Exercise
From WikiBody - The Owner's Manual For Your Body
Exercise doesn't have to be a chore that you do because your doctor tells you to. Think of exercise as a reflection of what your body is capable of. If you can't do moderate exercise for half an hour, then you won't be able to perform if you're ever in a situation where you need your body (such as sex, or situations where your life may be in danger).
You should exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, all or most days of the week. Examples of moderate exercise are:
- brisk walking
- bicycling
- swimming
- jogging
You can also incorporate physical activity into your daily life:
- take the stairs instead of the elevator
- do your own yard work
- walk as part of your commute and errands; park further from your destination than you normally would
The benefits of exercise include:
- weight loss
- stronger heart and lungs
- more energy
- better quality of sleep
- improved self esteem
- better mental acuity
